The Department of Science and Technology Studies seeks to employ 2 pre-doctoral and/or 2 post-doctoral researchers.

In the framework of two Horizon 2020 projects engaged in

co-creation and implementation activities around digital health infrastructures


Smart4Health: Citizen-centred EU-EHR exchange for personalised health
Cyber-Physical Intensive Care Medical System for Covid-19


we are looking for

2 pre-doctoral and/or 2 post-doctoral researchers

to work with us.
The work should start as soon as possible, latest in January 2021. We will review the applications as they come in.

Degree of Employment: 2-year position, 40 hours/week; with potential extension.

The successful candidates’ research will focus on the processes of co-creating and testing of a European health data infrastructure and/or on the medical technologies, digital tools and artificial Intelligence (AI) analytics implemented in intensive care units across several European sites to improve
surveillance and care.

Profile of the candidates:

•    be knowledgeable in the field Science and Technology Studies;
•    show a high readiness to work in an interdisciplinary team with medical professionals and technology developers;
•    have prior experience in qualitative social science research;
•    show ability to successfully plan, conduct, and write up research;
•    excellent proficiency in English; proficiency in German is an advantage;
•    be able to work in a team, organising ability, and reliability.
