Ekaterina Osipova, MA
Ekaterina is a researcher in the EU Horizon 2020 project Smart4Health, joining the team in January 2022.
Ekaterina obtained a Master’s degree in Science and Technology Studies from the University of Vienna. Their thesis focused on trans people's perspectives on, and experiences with, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) treatments, as well as participants’ visions of an inclusive and attentive PCOS care.
Ekaterina’s research interests are health care technologies and interventions, as well as knowledge production, circulation, communication and patient/ user/ citizen understandings of health and the body. Their particular focus lies at the intersection of these areas with gender and sexuality and the ways they interact, (re)shape and attune each other.
