This funding scheme is designed to support highly qualified female scholars to enhance their academic careers towards a “Habilitation” or equal qualification. Katja Mayer’s project “The politics of openness: Open data practices in computational social sciences” will examine how social scientific agency is transformed at the juncture of Big Data and Open Data. The Elise Richter fellowship will last 4 years and Katja Mayer will be joining our Department and start her project mid- 2019.
