Laura joined the master´s program in 2020. She is a research assistant in the Horizon 2020 Smart4Health project, which focuses on developing a health data platform to support EU citizens to manage their health better. In her thesis, she focuses on visions of patient empowerment and personalized medicine, analyzing the European commission's ideas about future healthcare as expressed in research funding programs Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe.

Laura obtained her bachelor's degree in comparative literature, focussing on gender theory, medical humanities, and memory culture at the University of Vienna and the Sapienza University of Rome. She also studies creative writing (Sprachkunst) at the University of Applied Arts. Having a passion for theory, her artistic work focuses on the intersection of poetics and sound. Currently, her research focuses on STS, her main interests are the topics of biomedicalization and imaginaries of future care politics.
